The results of a photography competition in Changsha county, Hunan province, which took place in October with the theme of "Charming Forests", was recently unveiled, csxrmt.com reported, citing the local forest bureau.

The photography competition consisted of two parts: natural scenery and construction achievements. As the host, the county's forestry bureau organized photographers to record the forestry ecology throughout Changsha county in late October and collected a number of photographic works.

Chen Yuelong, a member of Hunan's Folklore Photographic Association, won the first prize for his Silent Forest. It captured the wonderful natural scenery of Dashanchong provincial-level forest park in the autumn.

The competition selected one first prize winner, two second prizes, three third prizes and four honorable mentions, with rewards of 2,000 yuan, 1,000 yuan, 600 yuan and 400 yuan for each prize level respectively.

All the award winners will receive honorary certificates. Meanwhile, their works will be recommended as part of a national "charming forest" photography competition hosted by the State Forestry Administration.
