Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Development held an enterprise-themed activity for guests at Expo Milano 2015 on June 18 and the following day launched its new corporate visual inspection system.
The company is the event's only engineering and agricultural machinery strategic partner and built the Chinese pavilion at the global expo.
According to Zoomlion, the pavilion was designed to look like "golden billowing wheat fields" and impressed guests when the Milan expo opened on May 1.
The Chinese pavilion covers 4,590 square meters and was built using Zoomlion's ZTC350 crane, which construction companies praise for its stability, accuracy and trouble-proof qualities, according to the firm.
To complete the project, Zoomlion's employees worked more than 10 hours a day for five consecutive months.
Zoomlion's relationship with Italy dates back to 2008. The company acquired the world's third-largest concrete machinery enterprise in Italy, CIFA, and became a main manufacturer of concrete machinery, changing the global landscape of the market.
Former Italian president Girogio Napolitano gave the Leonardo Award to Zhan Chunxin, president of Zoomlion, in January 2011. He was the first Chinese entrepreneur to win the award.
Zoomlion merged with Italian company Ladurner, an environmental protection firm, on June 1.
The Milan expo's theme of "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life" is in line with the image that Zoomlion wants to project, according to the company.
Zoomlion is promoting its agricultural machinery and environmental products at the ongoing expo and said it wants to benefit global environmental protection efforts.
The new corporate visual inspection system developed by Zoomlion represents its "green manufacturing, beautiful world" concept and aims to establish the enterprise's image and influence and promote more international cooperation and exchanges.
