Festival in Fuyun county of Altay in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur
Autonomous Region on Tuesday. The festival, also known as Id al-Gurban, is
a major Islamic festival during which people slay livestock for
celebrations. Ten ethnic groups in China, including the Hui, Uygur,
Dongxiang and Bao'an, celebrated the annual festival on Tuesday. The
festive joy and happiness can be felt at the homes of many
blizzard-affected herdsmen in Fuyun County.
