Persistent drought hits Guangdong

2006. Due to persistent drought plaguing the Leizhou Peninsula, many
farmers have difficulty in getting drinking water, and they use buckets to
fetch water from other places. Weather department say the drought may
continue until May, and authorities are taking measures to help the
