Eva Longoria and Parker rekindle romance

There are signs of hope in the relationship of Tony Parker and Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria, whose split last week seemed only to last, well, a split second, PEOPLE reports in its new issue.

The pair has been photographed together having a good time in Paris.

The actress had confirmed last weekend that she and her boy friend Tony Parker were going through a “very difficult time”, though they never announced that they had officially separated.

"They're trying to work things out," Longoria's rep, Liza Anderson, tells the magazine. "There is a genuine love there."

During a recent romp in Paris – where point guard Parker was playing in exhibition games with the San Antonio Spurs – the couple took in the sights, partied at the VIP Room and dined at the famed Le Coupe-Chou.

Rumors were also floating around that Mario Lopez, the star of “Saved by the Bell” could have been part of the problem between Eva and Tony. Lopez was reported to have been seen leaving the house of Longoria giving rise to speculations. A TV report claimed that Lopez was there bringing take out foods to Longoria who had bruised her ribs on the sets of “Desperate Housewives”.

Just a week back Eva Longoria had injured herself. According to her publicist Liza Anderson, Eva had slipped on one of the stairs coming out of the trailer. Though they were no broken bones, her ribs were much bruised. Despite the injuries she had come back on the sets, in a matter of hours.

"The trip seems to have rekindled everything," one close source tells PEOPLE.

For now, at least, "Everything seems good," adds a Parker teammate. "He's really hooked on her."
