Coldplay apologize for 'unreasonable' ticket pricing

Coldplay

Coldplay have issued an apology to fans in South America after charging a staggering $160 for tickets to their concerts in Chile.

The group, currently on tour on the continent, recently discovered the exorbitant charge is over a quarter of the average monthly wage in Chile, and they're desperate to appease furious fans.

Frontman CHRIS MARTIN has apologized on behalf of his band, maintaining they had no idea tickets had been so overpriced.

And he admits the gaffe is particularly humiliating given the group's longtime support of campaigns to make trade fairer for developing nations.

He says, "We just found out how expensive they are and would like to say we are sorry. We didn't know beforehand.

"The price is a little embarrassing. When you are a famous band, a lot of things happen that you don't know about."
