Los Angeles - Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio are battling over the rights to James Scurlock's acclaimed documentary 'Maxed Out', which exposes the US obsession with credit cards and the debt they incur.
After Pitt read the documentary's companion book 'Maxed Out: Hard Times Easy Credit and the Era of Predatory Lenders', he had his Plan B production contact Scurlock's agent to turn the documentary into a feature film.
Soon afterward, DiCaprio's Appian Way Productions Company put in a call to Scurlock's representative expressing their interest in the documentary.
So far, there is no word about a deal being reached with either of the companies. (Indo-Asian News Service )
