In contrast to the lovey-dovey tragi-romance of Titanic, based on a novel by Richard Yates, in Revolutionary Road, Kate and DiCaprio play April and Frank Wheeler, a couple full of post-war optimism, who move to a Connecticut suburb in the Fifties.

The film details the disintegration of the couple's marriage as life fails to live up to the much-promised American Dream.

DiCaprio reportedly jumped at the chance to work with his Titanic co-star again, with whom he has remained good friends, and with director Mendes.

And it looks like barely any time has passed as they slip into a familiar groove.
