How Kelly Brook made a killing(Daily Mail)

She is the owner of a lovely 15th-century listed farmhouse in the heart of the Kent countryside, bought for a shade over 1 million at Christmas, and she potters around the garden there in her spare time, although naturally she has a gardener to take care of any heavy digging. At Christmas, she likes to take her scaffolder dad, Ken, and mum, Sandra, to the country hotel at Cliveden for a treat. "She's minted," a friend says. "She does not make a big deal out of it, but financially speaking she's incredibly successful." Not everything, however, is rosy. Sadly for Kelly, her engagement to actor Billy Zane seems to be crumbling just as she reaches the apex of her professional success. A sultry Kelly in her lingerie for New Look They have had a rocky summer - even though they both said this was the year when they would finally, after four years of waiting, get married. In fact, the Mail understands they split up "for good" for a month in late spring, getting back together in June this year. When they separated, Billy flew back from Kent to his home in Los Angeles, and poor Kelly was extremely tearful that the romance which she had hoped would end in marriage was over. Friends indicate that she called time on the liaison, having got tired of his endless inability to commit and his manner, which has been described as 'overbearing'. But 41-year-old Zane, who has been briefly married before, was very anxious to win her back, and after a few weeks apart he managed to restore his place in her affections. They were reunited at the Premiere Model Management Party in London on June 14. One partygoer said: "She arrived alone and later on he suddenly turned up. Although they looked awkward together at first, they were 'loved up' by the end of the evening, kissing and holding hands."
