Former "Friends" star David Schwimmer is joining the cast of the political thriller "Nothing but the Truth."
Writer/director Rod Lurie's story centers on newspaper reporter (Kate Beckinsale) who outs a CIA agent and is imprisoned for refusing to reveal her source.
Schwimmer will play Beckinsale's husband, who initially supports his wife's decision not to name names but eventually resents her for choosing principle over family. Already in the cast are Matt Dillon, Vera Farmiga, Edie Falco and Alan Alda.
Schwimmer is making his directorial debut with "Run Fat Boy, Run," a comedy starring Simon Pegg and Thandie Newton. Picturehouse will premiere the movie next month at the Toronto International Film Festival before releasing it in October.
