Jack Johnson debuts atop British album charts

Hawaiian-born singer-songwriter Jack Johnson's new album "Sleep Through The Static" debuted atop the British album charts, released on Sunday.

Johnson's new album beat out Adele's "19", while Swedish DJ Basshunter held on to the top spot in the singles charts for a fifth week running with "Now You're Gone".

Nickelback's "Rockstar" moved up one spot in the singles charts to second, followed by Adele's "Chasing Pavements", which dropped one spot to third.

Rihanna's "Don't Stop The Music", meanwhile, moved up one spot to fourth.

In the album charts, Nickelback's "All The Right Reasons" held firm at three, followed by Hot Chip's "Made In The Dark" and Scouting For Girls' album fell three spots to fifth.
