LOS ANGELES – Sure they were disappointed at losing the best new artist Grammy on Sunday, but pop stars the Jonas Brothers -- Nick, Joe and Kevin -- said they were "blown away" simply to be performing with Stevie Wonder.
"There's a little disappointment, but the performance was a win for us," Joe said Monday in an interview to promote the rock group's upcoming Disney movie, "Jonas Brothers the 3D Concert Experience."
"I don't think we would have wanted to perform with anyone else. I mean, there were stars in that room who we'd love to perform with, but that was such a perfect opportunity and a perfect collaboration."
"We walked away very, very happy," added Kevin.
The brothers, whose brand of upbeat pop rock made them a huge teen phenomenon in 2008, performed a rendition of Wonder's classic tune "Superstition" at the Grammys. But they lost the award for best new artist to British singer Adele.
Still, Nick Jonas said Wonder was "one of our idols."
"We were raised on Stevie Wonder and his music," added Kevin. "We were blown away. To be at the Grammys for the first time performing with Stevie Wonder was awesome."
