Hannah Montana, Mariah Carey hit U.S. singles chart

LOS ANGELES - Hannah Montana edged out Mariah Carey on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart Thursday, as Miley Cyrus' TV alter ego claimed her first top-10 entry.

"He Could Be the One" debuted at No. 10, just above Carey's "Obsessed," which debuted at No. 11. Hannah Montana also logged a No. 87 debut for "Ice Cream Freeze (Let's Chill)."

"Obsessed" marks Carey's 40th entry on the Hot 100, making her just the eighth woman in the chart's 51-year history to make 40 or more appearances. It is also her highest Hot 100 debut since 1998. the track comes from Carey's forthcoming album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel,"

The Black Eyed Peas led the field for a third week with "I Gotta Feeling." Drake's "Best I Ever Had" rose one place to No. 2, swapping places with the Peas' "Boom Boom Pow." Keri Hilson's "Knock You Down," featuring Kanye West and Ne-Yo, remained at No. 4, and Sean Kingston's "Fire Burning" rose one place to No. 5.

Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me" jumped three to No. 6, Lady GaGa's "LoveGame" fell two to No. 7, and Pitbull's "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" held at No. 8. Jeremih's "Birthday Sex" dropped two to No. 9.
