Pop singer Jane Zhang (pictured), the first Chinese vocalist to perform on the Oprah Show, celebrated her 25th birthday with fans in Beijing on Saturday.
Zhang's adorers sang with her, and gave her cake and flowers. Her Myspace community also was established on that day, featuring her blog, photos albums, news, fan bulletins and performance videos.
The vocalist rose to fame in 2005 after winning third place in Super Girls, a Chinese version of American Idol. She sang two songs on Oprah earlier this year.
The social networking website MySpace has more than 10 million users in China, 20,000 of whom are singers or music producers. It has attracted many local stars, including actor Zhou Xun and Li Bingbing.
