Pop singer Han Hong released her new album Sound of My Voice (Ting Wode Shengyin) last week in Beijing.
Writer Guo Jingming wrote the lyrics of four of Han's songs, and three of these ballads made it on the release, including the track that shares the album's name. Han is keeping a lid on the other song until her next release.
Han lauds the "sharp and dignified" work of Guo, a controversial figure once embroiled in a plagiarism lawsuit.
It took seven years for Han to complete the album. She invited an international crew, including Keith Olsen, one of the music industry's most prolific and successful producers, to work on the album.
Han rose to fame in the late 1990s because of her sonorous voice. She personally writes some of her most famous songs.
