The Chinese espionage film "The Silent War", starring Tony Leung Chiu-wai and Zhou Xun, has released a trailer.

Set in the early 1950s shortly after the founding of the People's Republic of China, the story is about a blind, illiterate man who learns Morse code so he can identify enemies on the radio.

Tony Leung plays the blind man, and Zhou Xun is his mentor.

The film, co-directed by Alan Mak and Felix Chong, is adapted from Mai Jia's novel "Plot Against". The author also wrote the original story for the 2009 film "The Message".

"The Silent War" will open in Chinese cinemas on August 10.
