According to the Chinese Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the ASEAN region, eight movies of Hong Kong cinematography produced by famous directors in the recent three years will be on show.
Fong Ngai, the chamber's director, said Vietnam's industry of art and movie making has strongly developed, and the movies week is expected to attract many local lovers for Kong Kong's television series.
Vietnam and China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region have established relations for many years. At present, Vietnam is Hong Kong's fourth biggest trade partner in the ASEAN (after Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia), said the chamber director.
Over the past five years, two-way trade witnessed an annual growth of 30 percent. Specifically, one-third of Hong Kong's rice consumption is imported from Vietnam.
