Recipe | Nasi Lemak (Coconut Rice)
Ingredients (serves 4 to 6):
500 g rice (4 cups)
1 pkt dried coconut milk
2 sticks cinnamon 1 teaspoon salt
Method:
1. Wash rice and drain. Place in rice-cooker.
2. Mix coconut milk powder and salt and add to 1 liter of warm water. Stir to dissolve and add the coconut milk to the rice.
3. Check that the water level is about 2 cm above the surface of the rice.
4. Add the cinnamon.
5. When rice is cooked, remove the cinnamon sticks, and fluff up with a fork.
