French porcelain manufacturing brand Legle is widely known for its fine porcelain. Now they are inviting the public to check out its Chinese style lotus porcelain wares during an elegant afternoon tea at the China World Hotel in Beijing.
The three-tier Lotus Afternoon Tea provides French patisserie made with Chinese ingredients. Some of the highlights include Chinese nut cakes, Huangqiao shaobing (baked mince pork puff from Jiangsu), hawthorn macaroons, and apple crumbles topped with Chinese almonds.
The bottom tier offers a combination of savouries and sandwiches, among which, the Peking duck parcel, which pays tribute to the traditional Beijing culinary culture.
Besides the English breakfast tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, visitors can try the Zhengshan black tea from China's Yunnan. The Lotus Afternoon Tea is available from Monday to Sunday, noon to 6 pm, and priced at 288 yuan ($45) per set.
