At 21:30 yesterday, after a surgery, Li came to in-patent area to look if there was any American doctor who need a help. Then he found that Allen was looking for a medicine called laidocine to easing children’s postoperative pain. But many Chinese doctors didn’t know what laidocine was. Li communicated with the American and found the medicine was a common one using for local anesthesia. And it just had a different name in China. “As a doctor, morality is as important as professional knowledge. And it’s very meaningful for me to help others.” said Li. These days, Li had to take part in many operations to help Americans in communicating. He even worked continuously for 10 hours a day. “I’m so willing to be a volunteer to help people who need a hand, but there’s no chance before. Now, I’m a volunteer this time, and I do what I used to dream for. So no matter how tired I am, it’s worthy to do so. ” Li said with a smile. |
