Located on a plateau in the heart of the Alps, 1,500 meters above sea level, Crans-Montana is the panoramic balcony of the Alps. From it you can see Mont Blanc and Matterhorn. The municipality was founded in 1893, and is famous for its very clean air and natural landscape. It also enjoys the best sun exposure in the whole of Switzerland, and was listed as one of "the 45 Places to Go in 2012" by The New York Times.
In addition to the natural scenery, it is well-known for its high-altitude golf courses and high-standard ski runs. You can experience many other outdoor activities in Crans-Montana include hiking, cycling, horse riding, and parachuting.
