The 18th three-day Aqin Aytis Fair opened upon the Argonne Ghet grassland in Burqin county, Aletai, Xinjiang, June 10, 2013.
The fair includes activities of the Aqin Aytis, folk instrument performances, wrestling, arm wrestling and yurt decoration and so on. Horse racing and goat grabbing will also be performed during the session.
“Aqin” means singer, “Aqin Aytis” means “a singer plays”. Aqin Aytis is an ancient form of Kazak folk art.
