100 couples join group wedding in Xinjiang

People of the Uygur ethnic group carry the "bride" on a blanket over fire to ward off bad luck at a group wedding. One hundred couples took part in the group wedding held in Turpan city, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on Aug 20, 2014, a highlight of Xinjiang Turpan Grape Festival, which opened that day.
