"Mouthwash can kill bacteria and replace the brush." Definitely wrong. Mouthwash is not suggested for daily use. The oral rinse can be helpful when you suffer tooth infection and soothe canker sores. But most mouthwash contains alcohol and frequent use may even lead to dental problems. It can never be considered a substitute for brushing teeth or toothpaste.

"Toothpicks help clear the gunk between teeth." Toothpicks are not absolutely prohibited but they should be used carefully. They are helpful when you are in a restaurant and have food trapped between teeth.

However, overuse of toothpicks can severely wear the roots of teeth, especially in cases where gums have pulled away from the teeth and leave teeth with root surfaces exposed, notably in the elderly. The hygiene of toothpicks can also be a potential risk.

Besides toothbrushes, these are the other tools you need for good dental hygiene:

Interdental brush Compared to flossing, interdental brushes are helpful for patients suffering periodontitis. Sometimes healthy teeth also need interdental brushes to clean the premolar and molar area. There are different sizes of interdental brushes.

It is best to consult your dentist for the right choice. Floss Flossing is much more significant to maintain oral cleanness than toothbrushes considering you can’t reach the tight spaces between your teeth or under your gum line with a toothbrush. Everyone gets plaque, and it can only be removed by flossing or a deep cleaning from your dentist. Daily flossing is recommended.
