The World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF)'s two-day tourism summit was held in Beijing last week, and Scott Supernaw, chairman of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), attended the summit and spoke to chinadaily.com.cn about his insight into China's tourism development.
It was in the last 1970s when Supernaw first visited China, when there were very few five star hotels, and very few private cars on the streets.
Compared to then, the tourism market in China has exploded in terms of facilities, attractiveness and accommodations for tourists.
