Q: Other than the movie mode of the photo processing tool, what functions are popular with the users? What improvements have you made since March?

Y: The postcard mode of picture processing is also popular with our users. We are not quite satisfied with the camera, so we will improve that by the end of the year. We are upgrading the app step by step, like we classified the subtitle library, and added a searching function. In July, we made big adjustment to the filters, which enable the pictures to look more fancy. The quality and gradation are so much better.

Q: Have you ever thought about attracting some foreign users? Like those who use Instagram?

Y: I don't think the two are contradictory. I am myself a big fan of Instagram. I think Instagram has reached certain perfection in capturing moments, which would be very hard for us to surpass. What we wanted is something different, we offer users a platform to produce photo albums that have a loosely related storyline, a series of photos which will help users to record their life. I remember one of our users said in their Weibo, that what he uploaded in Instagram are photos, yet in FotoPlace are stories. So we will dig deeper into that aspect. Later we might as well develop some overseas users, and as far as I know, many Chinese overseas are already using it. We have a plan of upgrading it into a multi-lingual app in our upgraded versions.
