Rosamund Kwan donates for Hope primary school

Rosamund Kwan attended the opening ceremony for the Guanshan Hope primary school in Chishui in Guizhou province on April 10, 2010, chinanews.com reported.

Kwan and Yang Xiaojuan, wife of the Hong Kong movie star Ray Lui, donated 300,000 yuan (approximately $47,000) to a school that had been in financial straits during its building process. At the ceremony, Kwan and Yang said they would help the locals upgrade the facilities of the school and build at least two more Hope primary schools in Chishui.

The local government named the school after Rosamund Kwan's father Kwan Shan in remembrance of her good deeds.
