A group of returned overseas Chinese professionals visited Zhongguancun Science Park on Aug 2. The group consisted of more than 30 members from 14 countries and regions hoping to make more investments in the science park.
The guests were from various sectors, including cloud computing, bio-chemistry, culture and creative industries. The group, led by Yan Weiqun, deputy director of the Beijing Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, visited Zhongguancun's company exhibition center and were introduced to excellent companies such as Lenovo, Baidu and Crystal CG, a London Olympics digital technology supporter.
Yang Jianhua, deputy director of the park's administration committee, gave a general review on Zhongguancun's development. Yang highlighted the park's investment environment and preferential policies. He also invited returned overseas Chinese to start their businesses in the park.
The guests were impressed by Zhongguancun's achievements in scientific innovation. They noted that Zhongguancun's impressive investment environment makes them more confident in their decision to return to China.
