For William Qin, founder of QTParking Technology, teamwork can conquers every difficulty and his team members have brought him many touching moments.

When the firm was just established, they met with many difficulties.

"One of the most unforgettable challenges was when traffic peaked during China’s National Holidays, we made a tough decision to put our entire team from engineers to operations on duty. We firmly stood by on our client’s site 24/7 when most people were enjoying theirholidays,” said Qin.

"Our clients required that the project must be finished in a week's time, which meant the team had to give up their vacation, complete the entire digitalization program of the parking lot and meanwhile guarantee the normal operations."

Qin believes entrepreneurial spirit is a kind of lifestyle. Entrepreneurs must explore to realize their life values and to grow up together with the team.

"First, (being an entrepreneur) you must contribute to the society and benefit other people and then, you need to share your ideas with your innovative team and lead it to make progress."

Innovation and entrepreneurship upsurge in China

More and more people, particularly college students, are encouraged to become innovative and start their own businesses as China is in its great upsurge of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Tina Zhen, co-founder of QTParking Technolgy, said the entrepreneurial upsurge has largely influenced students in universities, but mature entrepreneurial teams are different.

In QTParking, “All the team members had been working in smart transportation or smart cityfor many years and decided to start up the company when the idea of smart parking matured.”

Zhang shared his entrepreneurship experience in college.

"English is my major and I knew nothing about programming. A bus company in Nanjing (Jiangsu province) demanded a consumer resource management platform, and I organized a fragile team of friends in computer science departments. After six months, we could not even offer a demo to the client." He laughed.

"The key problem was I could not distinguish suggestions from team members with various background. Whatever they suggested, I just nod my head. It was totally a mess."

Zhang believes that only when an entrepreneur accumulates enough knowledge on the lifecycle of products, the hierarchyof a marketing team, and the sale period required for a medical product to enter hospitals does he or she have a possibility of success.
