Wenjiang promotes science among ethnic students

A six-day science course was run for young and teenage children to widen the outlook of students from ethnic regions and develop their science and technology innovation ability. It was staged by the Education Department of Wenjiang district of Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, and the government of Seda county, the Tibetan autonomous region in the province.

Wenjiang sent 11 science teachers and preschool teachers to participate in the exchange.

Wenjiang donated science education materials to Seda, including 110 elastic propeller aircraft, 50 sets of electronic instruments, 20 sets of electronic toy bricks, 50 remote controlled cars, 15 electronic irons and a large number of science books and charts. It enriched Seda students’ life with a series of science and technology lectures on inventions, robots, rockets, remote controlled aircraft, aerial vehicles and 3D aircraft.

A kindergarten in Wenjiang donated 386 picture albums, 400 boxes of oil paints and 400 sets of water color brushes. Wenjiang preschool teachers also held several early childhood reading activities, and will send preschool teachers on exchange visits to Seda annually.
