Chengdu Railway Bureau says that the sale of train tickets for the first day of the short Mid-Autumn Festival holiday officially started on August 18.

Mid-Autumn Festival will last from September 6 to 8, and the railway passenger flow is expected to be dominated by people visiting friends and relatives and students going back to schools in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other provincial capitals as well as Kunming, Guiyang, Chongqing, Lijiang and some other popular tourist destinations.

Chengdu Railway Bureau will actively adjust its transport capacity by adding and reconnecting multiple units, adding more carriages and changing hard sleepers to hard seats to meet passengers' travelling needs.

According to the 20 days pre-sale period of tickets via the internet and phone, tickets for the first day of the short holiday can be purchased in advance by internet and phone from today – August 20. Passengers can also buy train tickets for the short holiday at ticket booths and agencies.

Chengdu Railway Bureau reminds passengers that they have to purchase a ticket with valid identification, and take that ID with them when entering the station. Only passengers can enter the station and take a train under the premise that the ticket matches the passenger and his or her identification.
