A Sino-Finnish Cultural Exchange Conference was held in Wenjiang, Chengdu, Sichuan province on Sept 14. At the conference, directors of SantaPark, Finland, signed a strategic partnership contract with Floraland in Wenjiang, marking the first Christmas-themed park in China to settle here.
The park is being jointly built by Finland Lappset Group and Chengdu Yuanxiang Culture Investment Co, and is projected to open to the public in 2016. It is divided into several themed zones, including an “adventure kingdom”, “frozen paradise” and “wetland park”.
At the conference, the Santa Claus mascot from Finland’s SantaPark and the panda mascot from Floraland in Wenjiang exchanged souvenirs, which, according to Wenjiang’s government, marked the Sino-Finnish cultural exchange and a development of friendship.
