International school to open in Wenjiang

The commencement ceremony of the International Experimental Division of Wenjiang Middle School took place on Oct 28 in the Floraland Business Street in Wenjiang, Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province.

At the ceremony, Wenjiang’s government donated construction funds to the school. Both sides agreed that the construction of the International Experimental Division would boost education in Wenjiang to a higher level.

The International Experimental Division of Wenjiang Middle School offers a curriculum up to Year 9, which is adapted to reflect the needs of students in an international school and extends well beyond the formal classroom, with a strong emphasis on the development of the individual. It is projected to be completed and to begin recruiting students by the end of September 2015.

Wan Xuemei, director of Wenjiang’s publicity department, attended the ceremony.
