Traditional music wafts through forests in Wenjiang

Recently, a group of young music amateurs gathered in Jingcheng Garden on the Wanchun Greenway and presented the visitors with a small concert.

The band were formed by several girls who played traditional Chinese instruments such as zheng, a 21-stringed plucked instrument or Chinese zither, erhu, a two-stringed bowed instrument, and hulusi or cucurbit flute, a free reed wind instrument.

They played some traditional Chinese songs, and the music was so beautiful that tourists were attracted to enjoy their performances. "I feel great being in such beautiful scenery and listening to beautiful music," said one visitor.

According to a staff member at the garden, the girls often came to the visiting spots to play the music, which added more charm to the natural scenery.

After the China Ecological Civilization Forum Chengdu Annual Conference was held in Wenjiang in November, the spots that attendees visited have become tourist draws for Chengdu residents. The Wanchun Greenway and the gardens along the road receive numerous visitors every day.
