Wenjiang Catholic Church, built in 1876, was listed among the district's cultural landmarks.
The church has been standing on East Lane in Wenjiang, Chengdu, Sichuan province for nearly 140 years. It was constructed during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) by French clergy in Shunqing parish and was restored in 1987 by the local government.
It is now the major venue for catholic activities in Wenjiang district.
