Wenjiang strengthens firecracker sales safety

With the approach of the Spring Festival, the Wenjiang administration of work safety has strengthened its management of fireworks and crackers.

It has appointed 50 points of sale and given them business certificates after carefully examining their safety conditions. As for those not meeting the safety standards, the officials pointed out their deficiencies and asked them to rectify them within a set time.

The local government has also spent more than 160,000 yuan ($25,600) improving safety conditions, such as equipping the shops with explosion-proof lighting, fire extinguishers and fire buckets.

In addition, wholesale companies of fireworks and crackers in the district are required to sell the goods only to those distributors with certificates.
