The journey takes 9.5 hours, and the plane arrives at the Mauritius International Airport..
The 298 seats were all occupied. Most of the passengers were travelers from Sichuan and nearby provinces. An official business delegation from Chengdu was also on the plane.
After the delegation's arrival, a welcoming party will take place to be followed by a number of business meetings between directors of Air Mauritius, local Chinese businessmen and the Chengdu business delegation to enhance Sino-African cooperation.
Chengdu is the fourth city in mainland China that opens direct flights to Mauritius, following Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. It has the advantage of the shortest travel time to Mauritius from China.
Currently, airlines from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport have direct flights to five continents – Asia, Europe, Australia, Africa and America, leading the air travel industry in Midwest China.
