World 3D printing conference to be held in Chengdu

The 2015 World 3D Printing Technology Industry Conference and Expo will be held in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province on June 3-6, xinhuanet.com reported.
The conference is jointly hosted by the World 3D Printing Technology Industry Alliance and the Asian Manufacturing Association.
More than 1,500 representatives from 3D printing technology industry as well as other advanced technologies such as internet and internet of things will attend the conference and share their views about the development of intelligent manufacturing.
The conference will also explore the business model of the 3D printing industry and discuss how the new technology can be better combined with traditional industries.
The expo will be held simultaneously with the conference, where more than 200 domestic and international enterprises in 3D printing industry are invited. About 50,000 visitors are estimated to visit the expo.
In addition, a 3D printing design competition and a 3D printing fashion show will be held alongside the expo. The organizers will also launch a three-year program to build 1,000 3D printing classrooms in China.
The World 3D Printing Technology Industry Conference and Expo was previously held in China twice, in Beijing and Qingdao, capital of Shandong province.
