Top US 3D printer-maker enhances cooperation with Chengdu

The annual 3D printing technology event held in Chengdu, Sichuan province on June 3-6 has attracted 1,200 experts and entrepreneurs from over 10 countries and regions.
During the 3-day event, Stratasys, the top US manufacturer of 3D printers, met representatives of the Chengdu local companies and explored cooperation opportunities with them.

“Chengdu city has great potential in 3D printing industry,” said Wang Xianggen, general manager of the Stratasys China. “We launch Stratasys’ first regional branch here, targeting the huge market in Chengdu and the whole of Southwest China.”
“We specifically chose medical treatment, education and military industries because 3D printing technology has gradually made it into those fields,” Wang explained. “In the near future, we plan to cooperate more with people with innovative ideas and help them start up their new business,” he added.
