70-year-old Chengdu woman excels in pole dance

Seventy-year-old Dai Dali is an ordinary Chengdu woman, but she has an energetic hobby – pole dancing.

Mrs Dai has been systematically learning dancing out of interest since her retirement about 20 years ago. She started to learn pole dance several years ago because “it is a combination of strength and beauty”, she says.

After years of practice, Mrs Dai now is able to perform many difficult movements such as hanging upside down with one leg, ballet in the air, and splits along the pole successfully.

To showcase her skills and promote pole dancing, Mrs Dai participated in various talent shows and was well-received by audiences.
