Wenjiang holiday week tourism surges

Wenjiang district in Chengdu, Sichuan province, has received more than 1 million tourists during the National Day holiday, Oct 1-7, Wenjiang News reported.

Wenjiang has made 201 million yuan ($31.66 million) in tourism revenues during the seven-day holiday, representing a 43.3 percent increase over last year’s same holiday period.

The Floraland Amusement Park, May Rose Garden and various rural tourism festivals attracted most tourists and made the district a hot tourism spot, according to an official of local tourism bureau.
