Chengdu Mahjong and Tea Museum is the world’s largest museum about mahjong, a popular traditional Chinese game.
Its collections include ancient mahjong sets made of paper, jade and bone and those belonging to celebrities such as Mei Lanfang, one of the most talented Peking Opera artists.
The museum also houses more than 400 exhibits featuring the tea culture in Sichuan province, including tin pots made during the Ming Dynasty period (1368-1644) and purple clay pots made during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
