Wenjiang hosts five-a-side football gala

The Wenjiang 2015 Five-a-Side Football Tournament kicked off at the Soko Football Park in Chengdu’s Wenjaing district on Dec 5.
The first match was between delegations of the Wenjiang’s Party committee and Wanchun county, with the former winning 2-1.
The tournament will last for two weeks and offer 151 matches, with more than 600 local football amateurs taking part.
The tournament is hosted by the Wenjiang sports bureau and supported by the Wenjiang Football Association. It is aimed at encouraging local residents to participate in sports activities more often and showcasing Wenjiang’s football talent at the same time.
