Visitor numbers up in Wenjiang over Spring Festival

Nearly 940,000 tourists crowded Wenjiang district, a satellite town in Chengdu, during the Spring Festival holiday from Feb 7-13, an increase of 6.39 percent from 2015.
Tourism revenue in Wenjiang rose to 312 million yuan ($47.86 million), up 37.18 percent from the previous year, as visitors were eager to splash their cash.
Popular tourist attractions in the district, such as the Floraland Amusement Park, held several Spring Festival themed activities in a bid to attract more visitors, including a temple fair and flower show.
