By the end of 2008, the industrial zone has attracted 741 projects with an actual investment of 33.59 billion yuan ($ 5.41 billion) and foreign investment of US$738 million. The enterprises settled in the zone include five Fortune 500 companies, 22 China Top Brand Enterprises, 28 China Famous Brand Enterprises and 34 high-tech enterprises. Up to 25 enterprises invest 500 million yuan, while over 100 enterprises invest over 100 million yuan. At present, the industrial zone accommodates electromechanical enterprises including Diwei Electronic, Longfu Technology, China Fire Safety, Wuliangye Anji High Precision Tubes, modern food processing enterprises including Uni-President, Master Kong, Tsingtao Brewery, Wahaha, bio-pharmacy enterprises such as Weiao Pharmaceuticals, Sanjing Shenghe Pharmaceuticals, Kechuang Pharmaceuticals, Biokin Pharmaceuticals, and the headquarters of Raidy Boer and Yaboo. In addition, the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China National Industrial Park and Chengdu SBI Street for startups form a cluster of producer services.
