Wenjiang Florist is a micro film produced in 2014 by the publicity department of Wenjiang district in Chengdu, the capital of southwest China’s Sichuan province. The 10-minute film depicts the reconciliation between a daughter and her father in the city, after the two fell out.
Hu Yuewen became estranged with her father after she went against his wish for her to work in a bank and became a florist instead. Determined and hard-working, the daughter made a success of her chosen profession to impress her father and soften the cold war between them. The film ends with Hu’s father entering her flower shop to make peace with her.
