Wenjiang has been landscaping roadways with thematic plants since the beginning of the year, and now preliminary results can be observed, the Chengdu Evening News reported on August 17.
Magnolia grandiflora and triangle plum blossoms decorate Fengxi avenue. Crape myrtle flowers are thriving on Wenquan avenue and Qishi avenue. Hibiscus flowers, a symbol of Chengdu, have made Furong avenue a famous scenic spot for their lushness.
According to Xia Youhua, an officer of the Wenjiang Public Utilities Bureau, landscape layouts are designed based on the different times that flowers bloom to ensure an ongoing effect.
