National fitness carnival opens in Wenjiang

The 2017 ISFT National Strength Fitness Carnival activity series opened at the Guose Tianxiang Holiday Resort in Wenjiang on Oct 5, with the aim of publicizing the importance of physical fitness.
During the activity, the China Strength Fitness Forum was also held, with Qian Guang, official from the General Administration of Sport of China, and Li Ming, director of the Wenjiang district sports bureau invited to discuss ways of integrating physical fitness classes in local schools.
In addition, the forum also presented a development plan for the ISFT strength fitness curriculum over the next three to five years.
In recent years, Chengdu's Wenjiang district has been making efforts to promote the health industry while building itself into a livable city. Local authorities have invested over 10 million yuan ($1.51 million) to improve local public sports facilities in the district and to offer free annual physical examinations to local residents.
