Wanchun town holds Mid-Autumn Festival activities

Wenjiang district's Wanchun town held a series of activities to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, aiming to promote traditional Chinese culture and enrich the lives of its residents through volunteer services and folk customs.
Changshi community set up a group of volunteers to provide free services to local residents, including haircuts, medical exams, key-making, social security consultation, career counseling and elderly services.
Gaoshan village invited the poor and elderly to participate in Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations with volunteers from Sichuan Agricultural University. The activity brought a sense of belonging to its beneficiaries by giving them a chance to talk with volunteers, participate in interactive games and watch performances.
Yufu village held a moon cake-making activity. Volunteers described the origin of the Mid-Autumn Festival to children and taught them to make moon cakes, which not only raised awareness of traditional customs but also gave them a chance to experience traditional Chinese culture.
The residents of Tashuiqiao community, together with volunteers, made moon cakes and learned to dance.
Wanchun town has been dedicating to building a harmonious and friendly atmosphere in its villages and communities by promoting traditional Chinese culture and enriching the lives of its residents.
