Wenjiang draws attention at 8th US-China Health Forum

During the 8th US-China Health Forum, held from Oct 12 to 14 in Chengdu, Wenjiang district's promotion of the Chengdu Medical City drew the attention of domestic and overseas experts.

The forum aims to promote exchange and cooperation between China and the US in medical and health related fields through high-level strategic dialogue, leadership expansion and application research.

Over 800 experts from industry, education, research, politics and business fields, including representatives from WHO, Harvard University and the National Health Commission of China, attended the forum.

Representatives from Wenjiang introduced the Chengdu Medical City investment environment from the vantage points of location advantages, development plans and industrial foundations.

The tri-medical industrial space layout, innovation and entrepreneurship, and supporting the policies of Chengdu Medical City were promoted at the forum to attract potential investments and seek more business opportunities.

The forum will hold various lectures, meetings and competitions to contribute to the development of health care reform, transnational medicine, targeted medicine, mental health, blood safety, prevention and treatment.

Meanwhile, the forum has two sub-forums that will allow hospital directors to discuss the future of medicine, full life circle health, reproductive medicine, health towns and public health.
